Sonnet Project

Sonnet Project was my senior thesis to complete my BA in Theatre and Performance from Purchase College. It was a 20 minute devised ensemble movement piece accompanied live by an original score written by three classical composition students. The piece featured text from 5 of Shakespeare's sonnets in conversation with the themes of time and youth. The piece was inspired by the work of Robert Wilson and Rufus Wainwright at the Berliner Ensemble in 2009 and later at BAM. The project was accompanied by a critical essay on post-dramatic theatre and classical text.
